Meet Dr. Deutscher


Your vision is important to us.


Dr. Deutscher grew up in Clay Center, Kansas.   He has always pursued academic excellence and started with graduating as valedictorian of his high school class. He received a full academic scholarship to Kansas State University and graduated with a degree in Chemical Science.  He attended Optometry school at the University of Houston's College of Optometry.  In Optometry school he received many academic honors including letters of clinical excellence, Coburn scholarships, and graduated in the top 3 percent of his class (Summa Cum Laude).


     Dr. Deutscher completed externships at Offutt Air force Base and the Omaha Eye Institute in Omaha, NE.  This gave him invaluable experience in pediatric, geriatric, and post-surgical eye care.  Dr Deutscher sees patients of all ages and is experienced with all types of contact lenses.  He is licensed in the treatment and management of glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and other eye diseases.   Professionally, Dr. Deutscher is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, the Kansas Optometric Society, and the American Optometric Society. 


 Dr. Deutscher and his wife, Cindy, enjoy living in Topeka.  He has a step-son in the Kansas Highway Patrol, a step-daughter in nursing school in Oklahoma, and a daughter attending Kansas University.  They are proud supporters of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
